Over the weekend of April 30 – May 2nd, our good friend and Team Berger shooter, Larry Bartholome competed in the 2021 Texas State Rifle Association F-Open Championships out at the Bayou Rifles – Juliff Rifle and Pistol Range in Rasharon, TX. Out of the over 50 competitors that weekend, Larry came out on top and took the win with a 992-41x. This makes it the fourth time Larry has won this competition! Larry took this win shooting his favorite Berger 7mm 184 Grain F-Open Hybrid Target bullets loaded with Vihtavuori N160 powder.

Larry told us, “Eight more wins and it’ll be an even dozen. After all, I’ll only be at least 87!” Knowing Larry, we could see him do it too!

Larry didn’t stop at the individual competition, him and his team, “We Don’t Rent Pigs,” also took the win at the F-Open Team State Championships with a score of 2376 – 118x. His team consists of Tim Vaught, David Christian, Tod Hendricks, and Team Captain, Erik Cortina. F-Class competitors know that this team not only contains some of the best shooters, but is made up of genuinely helpful and good people who will go out of their way to help other shooters. It is always a good time out at the range with them and we are looking forward to seeing them at the NRA F-Class Nationals in July at Camp Atterbury, IN.
