Berger’s very own Wind Wizard, Emil Praslick, will be teaching a wind reading class this weekend (Oct 30-31, 2021) at the Precision Rifle Expo out in Blakely, GA.

Emil is world renown not only for his expert wind reading capabilities, but his capability to help teach others the skills that he has mastered. While in the United States Army Marksmanship Unit, he was the Head Coach and developed training strategies for both tactical and competitive shooting. Emil’s understanding of how wind drift works and how it affects the bullet as it goes down range has helped him to develop techniques for recognizing and determining wind speed and direction as well as strategies for how to deal with wind while engaging a target.

Emil’s class will be held twice daily during the Precision Rifle Expo;

  • Saturday: 10:00am and 2:00pm
  • Sunday: 10:30am and 1:00pm

Emil shared with us that “The Precision Rifle Expo is a fantastic opportunity for both industry folks and the public to meet and learn about what’s new in the precision shooting world. It’s also unique in that the organizers present instructional content for the attendees. I’m really looking forward to teaching and talking to people about the techniques, strategy, and some tips to shooting in the wind. We’re once again partnering with Vortex, who is providing optics for the students so we can really show how to utilize these tools in wind reading,”

The Precision Rifle Expo gathers the top manufacturers and talent of the long-range precision rifle shooting community, while providing a unique opportunity to see and experience the equipment used by the best shooters in the country.  For more information, visit
