Team Berger’s David Gosnell finished High Senior in the F-Open Division at the 2023 F-Class National Championships. Gosnell, competing with Berger 7mm 180 Grain Hybrid Target bullets, Lapua 284 Brass, and Vihtavuori N555 powder, scored a 1590-74X for a 6th place finish overall.
Additionally, Gosnell competed in both Mid-Range and Long-Range team events as a member of The Long Shots. The Long Shots fired their way to both Gold and Silver medal finishes respectively. Long Shot team members winning Gold with Gosnell were Keith Weil, Robert Spencer, Ken Dickerman, and Pat Scully, with Dan Bramley as Captain, and Michelle Gallagher as coach.
The 2023 US F-Class National Championships were hosted by the Desert Sharpshooters and held October 30th – November 5th at Ben Avery Shooting Facility in Phoenix, AZ. The F-Class Open category has requirements of a rifle weighing no more than 22 lbs with a maximum fore-end width of 3 inches. Rifles can be chambered up to 8mm caliber and are shot using a front tripod rest and rear sandbag.
Gosnell will compete next at the Southwest Nationals in February of 2024.
