Team Berger’s James Fox continued his dominance on the firing line, winning the Oregon State Highpower Championship and claiming the Oregon State High-Power Open Championship title for an unprecedented ninth consecutive year.

Held June 27–28 at the Douglas Ridge Rifle Club in Eagle Creek, Oregon, the Oregon State Highpower Championship, hosted by the Oregon State Shooting Association, attracted many of the nation’s top Highpower shooters. The two-day event featured a challenging schedule that included two 800-point Regional Course-of-Fire matches and a Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Excellence-in-Competition (EIC) match, testing competitors’ precision, consistency, and endurance throughout the weekend.

Fox delivered a commanding performance across all phases of competition, sweeping the event by capturing the Overall Championship as well as the Standing, Sitting, and Prone Rapid Fire aggregate titles. He also secured top honors in the CMP EIC match. His comprehensive victory earned him an unprecedented 11th overall state title.

For the championship, Fox relied on Berger 223 Remington 77 Grain OTM Tactical ammunition and handloads featuring Berger 22 Caliber 80.5 Grain Target bullets, Lapua 223 Remington cartridge cases, and Vihtavuori N140 powder.

Fox’s competitive season continues later this month as he prepares to compete at the CMP National Highpower and Long Range Championships, scheduled for July 21–30 at Camp Perry in Port Clinton, Ohio.
