Congratulations to Team Berger’s very own John Mullins for taking the win this year at the 2022 Arizona State Lever Action Rifle (LAR) Silhouette Championships! John won the Rifle Cartridge LAR with a score of 74/80, the Pistol Cartridge LAR 69/80, and the Smallbore Cowboy Rifle categories 76/80, giving Mullins the overall 3-Gun Aggregate win.

John shared with us that “After three days of shooting the Arizona State Lever Gun Championships and winning, I can’t wait to get back to the range to shoot some more of the Berger 6mm 115 VLDs. I use 6mm Berger Bullets for High Power Silhouette competitions out to 500 meters, as well as for training to compete Lever Action Silhouette disciplines at shorter ranges. Nothing gets me more ready for all the big silhouette matches faster than super accurate Berger Bullets!”

The Arizona State Lever Action Rifle Silhouette Championship was held at the Ben Avery Shooting Complex in Phoenix, AZ, February 11-13th. All LAR shooting is done from the offhand position with open sights. Steel targets are engaged at distances of 40-50-75 and 100 yards for score. The Smallbore Cowboy Rifle division is any lever action, pump, or semi-auto .22LR. The pistol cartridge category uses common calibers such as the .22 Mag, 25-20, 32-20, 38 Special, 357 Mag, or 44 Mag, while the rifle cartridge category’s common cartridges are 30-30, 38-55 and other bottleneck cartridges
