Team Berger’s James Fox completed a first-place finish with a record setting score of 1594-93x earning him the championship title for an unprecedented 7th time and a full sweep of titles including the standing, sitting, 300-yard, 600-yard aggregates and the CMP EIC match victory.
The Washington State Highpower Championships were held May 31st – June1st at the Paul Bunyan Rifle & Sportsman’s Club in Puyallup Washington. Hosted by the Civilian Marksmanship Program, shooters competed in 80-round XTC aggregates each day.
“This was my 5th win in a row, and 7th in the last 8 years (I did not attend the 2020 championships since it was first canceled, then held at a later date without notice to people outside of WA),” commented Fox. “I shot a record score for this match, and almost a personal best on one of the 600-yard stages (200-16x, my PB is 200-17x).”
Fox confidently shoots a .223 Remington loaded with Lapua brass, Vihtavuori N140 powder, and Berger 22 caliber 77 grain OTM Tactical and 80.5 grain Fullbore Target rifle bullets.
